Privacy

Written down for you.
Not for anyone else.

ScreenMind is a local-first macOS app. It has no server, no account, and no telemetry. This page exists because people expect one; most of it is a formality.

What we collect

The waitlist form stores only your email address. Nothing else. It is used once — to send you the DMG link when the beta opens — and can be removed any time by replying to that email.

What the app collects

Nothing reaches us. ScreenMind runs entirely on your Mac. Captures, notes, summaries, and embeddings are written to an encrypted SQLite file in your user library. There is no ScreenMind account and no ScreenMind cloud.

Third-party AI providers

When you ask the app a question, the text of the relevant notes is sent to the AI provider you chose (Anthropic, OpenAI, or a local Ollama model). We do not proxy or see that traffic.

Redaction

Password fields, banking UIs, 1Password, Messages, and any app you blocklist are masked on-device before capture is written to disk.

How to leave

Export the database from Settings → Privacy, then uninstall the app. There is nothing for us to delete because there was nothing for us to hold.
